Belter for the Shelter is back! Join for an evening of top class comedy in aid of Hackney Winter Night Shelter.
Returning for a fourth time, Belter is bringing yet another stellar line-up of comedians to the Hackney Empire to help raise money for the Shelter's vital work with local homeless people. All money raised on the night goes towards keeping people off the streets of Hackney this winter and providing them with a hot meal and warm bed.
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.

Bridget appeared in the second series of The Omid Djalili show on BBC1 and on Andy Zaltman's Radio 4 Series, Andy Zaltzman's History of the Third Millennium Series 1 of 100.

After growing up in '80s South-East London and surviving a post-Bush, post-racial, post-Thatcher, post-Twilight Society, Dane realised that it was a moral obligation to chronicle and in some places parody the human experience and contemporary western culture.
Having written and starred in his own sitcom for the BBC (Sunny D) and performed a triumphant run at the Edinburgh Festival, Dane Baptiste is fast becoming regarded as definitely one to watch as his career takes off.
As seen on Live At The Apollo, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), Mock the Week (BBC Two), Chris Ramsey's Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), Tonight at the London Palladium (ITV1), Live from the BBC (BBC Two), Seann Walsh’s Late Night Comedy Spectacular (BBC3) and Live at The Comedy Store (Comedy Central).
'Brilliant' (Comedy Blogedy)
'Intelligent and genuinely hilarious' (Adam Bloom)
'Observational comedy at its finest' (The Independent)
'Baptiste is a comical genius' (http://www.EdFestMag.com)
'A thunderingly charismatic comic' (The Guardian).
Dane J Baptiste tour dates
Top drawer comic whose appearances on 'Big Train' and 'Brass Eye' have earned him high acclaim. Eldon is in and out of character, doing stand-up, poetry and singing songs.
Kevin Eldon tour dates
Kevin McAleer brings the very latest version of his hilarious award-winning one man show to town. The Omagh man is in fine form - the writing is sharper and funnier than ever, the timing and delivery just get better with age. If shaggy dog stories are your cup of tea, you'll have pups.
Kevin McAleer tour dates
Leicester New Comedian Of The Year 2015 nominee. As heard on BBC Radio 4 (The Now Show, Newsjack, Fresh from the Fringe) and BBC Radio 1Xtra, and as seen on Channel 4, BBC Three and Sky Arts.
Lolly Adefope sets herself apart from others by delivering her sets through the guise of a hapless comedienne called Gemma. Her alter ego is a somewhat self-indulgent 23-year-old from Preston, portrayed as she stumbles her way through her first live stand-up session and botches gags about offices, taxis and superpowers along the way.
'Promising newcomer' (The Independent)
'Tipped by everyone in the comedy industry' (Laugh Out London).
Lolly Adefope tour dates
Stand-up comedian with a cruel tongue that gets the rest of his body into trouble - definitely for the adults only!

Michael Legge tour dates
An official Channel 4 survey of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups Ever placed Stewart Lee at number 41. His mother, whom he loves dearly, thinks Tom O'Connor the better comedian, having seen him do a joke about a sardine on a cruise ship ten years ago. And he isn't even in the top 100...
'The funniest, most cliche-free comedian on the circuit' (Ricky Gervais).
'Superlative... Remains one of the best stand-ups in the country' (Metro)
'Marvellously funny: mordant, thoughtful and crafted' (Observer)
'There's a wealth of evidence to suggest that in the last few years, Lee has gone completely mad... More skilful and playful than ever' (The Guardian)
'What is exhilarating is how many surprises he still throws in and how deft his jumps are from one tone to another….invigorating' (The Times)
'He is... the only comedian who can get away with deconstructing and critiquing his own routines as he goes along and not be repellent. He, and his material, are simply that good' (The Independent).

A brilliantly quick comic mind coupled with scorching improvisation makes Daniel a regular at the top London clubs and on TV. Nominee for the Perrier Award 2001 and the winner in 2002.
His hilarious, charming and filthy comedy is unafraid to be different and happily avoids the latest fashions and trends. A must see comedian.
