Bukky Leo

The African Jazz Allstars's tenor saxophonist Bukky Leo possesses one of the most distinctive tenor saxophone sounds in Afrocentric jazz. Leo produces a raw and abrasive sound from his tenor and has remained truthful to his distinct style of Jazz and Afrobeat since his breakthrough in the 80s. Lately he is producing music that is guided by a more graceful and soulful principle of modal harmony driven by looping African beats that connect the heart, the mind, the soul and the body.
