Luke Tuchscherer, of alt.country band The Whybirds, has launched a solo project off the back of a new record, You Get So Alone At Times That it Just Makes Sense.
Reflecting the more acoustic side of Tuchscherer’s songwriting, the album features confessional songs, storytelling and social commentary.
Born and bred in Virginia, Amelia White cut her musical teeth as a young adult in Boston. Amelia graduated from staging plays in her back yard to writing songs as soon as she acquired an acoustic guitar. She begged her brother to teach her guitar, then played it so much that he sold it to her - it’s still her main guitar to this day. With influences such as The Beatles and Stones, her songs have a sweet soft side reminiscent of early James Taylor. The lyrics are more poetic than narrative, and her sinewy emotional voice and striking melodies will stick with you.
