Riding on the success of 2014’s nominations, Focus are back, ready to showcase some of the capital’s best African DJs and musicians with a new residency at Floripa, in Old Street.

Launching La Fête on Saturday 7th March 2015, the first Saturday of every other month, resident Dj’s JP Kairo, Aluku Rebels and Afro B and the Host, the world famous Sir Loui will ease you into the weekend spirit with the best of Africa – Kuduro, Afro House, Afrobeats, Azonto, Coupe Decale and more.

This month features: The InRhythms

A 7-piece band from London via Lagos, who mix the cerebral musicality of Afrobeat with the visceral grooves of funk, underpinned with Yoruba-English vocals. Formed by bassist Femi Sofela, who produced the award winning Funmi Olawumi’s CD Funmi Ti De, the band bring high energy and passion to the stage. Band members have also played with the likes of The African Jazz Allstars, The South African Gospel Choir, The Yoruba Women Choir, Juwon Ogungbe, Funmi Olawumi, Joyce Moholoagae and Safricanto.
