Abi Roberts and her big hair exploded onto the stand-up comedy scene in 2011. She was a Finalist and Runner-Up in the London Comedy Store's Costa Light Comedy Competition in 2012, a Finalist and Runner-Up In the 2012 Harrogate Theatre's Comedian of the Year and took the Audience Award at the same festival. She is a regular weekend act at comedy clubs such as The Glee Clubs, Jongleurs, The Stand, Bearcat Comedy and Lee Hurst's Backyard Comedy Club, Jason Manford’s Comedy Clubs, as well as the major independent clubs, such as The Kings Head, Bearcat Comedy, Comedy Central at Baby Blue and The Frog and Bucket, Manchester.
Abi trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and gained prominence in comedy and sketch shows, including the satirical comedy Newsrevue, Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues and Jonathan Harvey’s stage show, Taking Charlie. She has also appeared as a Guest contributor on BBC Radio 4’s Midweek, Weekend and Outlook, as well as on comedy radio stations FubBar Radio, Moscow Comedy FM (Russia) and Wildfire Radio (US) and she has just filmed her first sitcom pilot for Sky playing a Russian woman Irina in Cameron Gordon’s Bucketless. She recently became the first UK comic to perform in Russia, in Russian, completing three nights of shows to packed-out houses at Moscow Comedy Club.
Abi is also one half of character act Frankly On Tuesday, playing Radio 4 presenter Ginny Frankly alongside Brenda Gilhooly's character Gayle Tuesday (Harry Hill's TV Burp, Harry Hill's Fruit Fancies, Jack Dee Show, The Paul O'Grady Show, Saturday Night Live) which premiered at this year's Guernsey Comedy Festival and which is destined for a TV airing in 2017.
Abi has been dubbed by critics as "Brilliant, funny and charming. True comedy genius..one of GQ’s Top Ten New Stand-ups to see in 2016" - James Mullinger, Comedy Editor, GQ Magazine; "Very funny, rapid-fire, infectious humour...unstoppable and triumphant… takes down target after target – Arts Editor, New Statesman; "Raucous and incredibly funny" - Daily Telegraph; as "Fast-paced, high-octane comedy with brilliant routines...entertaining throughout and leaves everybody wanting more" - Gigglebeats.co.uk; "A master impersonator and a gifted comedy performer standing way out from the herd" - Edinburgh’s Three Weeks) and by UK Comedy website Chortle as "Roberts is packing them in (at the Voodoo Rooms)...she is truly and hysterically funny and has definitely got the comedy moves. She does it all with genuine charm and character, with big laughs. She has an imposing range of talents and her impressions are, well, impressive. She really is more than just a stand-up".
In her four years in professional stand-up comedy, Abi has the accolade of having supported major league performers such as Michael McIntyre, Sarah Millican, Jack Whitehall and Tom Stade and is to be found opening the show at many of the UK’s leading comedy clubs, such as The Glee Club, Jongleurs, Komedia and The Stand. Abi also became the first UK comic to perform stand-up in Russia in Russian when she performed her show Anglichanka to sell-out houses at Moscow Comedy Club.
Abi has been dubbed by critics as:
"Dangerous and the very opposite of consensus comedy...she cleverly disguises some hard-hitting stuff working on several levels at the same time, whilst she wraps up these subliminal messages with some Vaudvillian schtick …she's rapid-fire, infectious humour... unstoppable and triumphant...and she takes down target after target" (New Statesman);
'Raucously and incredibly funny' (The Daily Telegraph);
‘…more than just a stand-up…delivers big laughs and her impressions are well, very impressive’ (Chortle); 'Fast-paced, high-octane comedy with brilliant routines... entertaining throughout and leaves everybody wanting more' (Giggle Beats).
"Roberts is brilliant, funny and charming. She's a true comedy genius and one of GQ's Top Ten newer stand-ups you must see' (GQ Magazine)
"She breaks new comedy ground. She is a fantastic live act and one the best female acts on the circuit today. (Roberts) is one of those comedians you tell your friends that "you must see" - (Independent)

Luke Graves tour dates
Since meeting at The Edinburgh Festival in 2000 Brian & Krysstal have entertained and delighted all kinds of audiences at comedy clubs, cabaret nights, festivals, corporate and private functions in locations far and wide.
Regular fixtures at The Edinburgh Festival for eight years, the duo have worked all over the UK as well as Germany, South Africa, Gozo, Spain, Denmark, Ireland, Australia and of course… Peckham.
Brian is infamously grumpy and deadpan, while his assistant Krysstal is glamorous but ditzy. The combination is unique and very funny. Their timing is exquisite, their humour dry and sometimes bawdy.
'Wonderful silliness, some cute songs, some political incorrectness, some sick vomit and poo jokes and a lot of originality. It is all done with that intangible panache, subtlety and ability to laugh at one's self that is quintessential to British humour' (Peter Bleby, Australian Stage).
