Riviera Style Applique

Sun, sea and style! Embellish a fashionable summer beach bag inspired by the silhouettes of the English Riviera and the elegance of Art Deco seaside resorts.

Experienced designers and makers Amanda and Juliet return to the Museum to teach an exciting one off applique workshop. Participants will be given a colourful cotton tote bag to embellish using hand stitch appliqué techniques, experimenting with textures, patterns, and layering techniques to create Riviera Style embellishments.

All materials are provided and participants are welcome to bring ideas, sketches and fabric remnants to use if desired. For this great hands-on workshop a basic level is sewing is required.
