The Age Of Bowie - How David Bowie Made A World Of Difference
Paul Morley, co-curator of the V&A exhibition David Bowie Is … and author of the first definitive biography of Bowie since his death, is joined by acclaimed writer Deborah Levy to present a unique event that will celebrate and examine the life, work and influence of David Bowie.
Illuminating some of the greatest moments of Bowie’s career (including the release of the critically acclaimed album Black Star just days before his death) and exploring how he worked, played and structured his ideas, Morley will draw on his new biography of Bowie to offer a startling and novel critique of the artist’s legacy that will leave you even more awe-struck by the man who set out to change the world – and who achieved that goal multiple times over.
Prefacing Morley’s talk, they are thrilled to be joined by Deborah Levy, Booker Prize nominee and author of the celebrated essay Things I Don’t Want To Know, who will give an introductory 15 minute talk on Bowie and his influence on her generation.
