Abhaya n the Steam injuns

‘Women In Concert’ is a branded charity concert that gives platform to female musicians, amateur and established alike. This event has been running successfully in Nepal by the Nirbhaya Foundation, a charity organisation run by the vocalist of the rock band from Nepal, Abhaya n the Steam Injuns, Ms Abhaya Subba Weise and their lead guitarist Mr Rinchen palzar for the past few years.

This event has been endorsed and sponsored in Nepal by UNICEF and various embassies as well. The sole purpose of this concert is to bring out the best of female musicians and spread the message of Nirbhaya Foundation, which initiates projects in rural villages of Nepal to tackle early human trafficking by spreading education and awareness, sort of pre-emptive strategy to stop women trafficking before it gets too late.

This time around, Nirbhaya foundation and Origami Radio of UK have decided to bring the much anticipated concert in the UK and provide platform for the amazing female performers and raise funds for Nirbhaya Foundation as well as the victims of earthquake that hit Nepal in the recent year. The concert will be the showcase of 14 performers altogether, including Abhaya n the Steam injuns, who will be traveling from Nepal.
