Never miss another 'Bloc Party' show
Bloc Party + The Joy Formidable + Old Men
Following on from their October UK tour, Bloc Party will be playing a massive show at Earls Court, London on February 22nd.
The London four-piece release 'Four' in August, their first full-length since 2008's acclaimed 'Intimacy'. The band will be playing songs from the new album, along with hits such as 'Helicopter' and 'Flux' from their back catalogue.
The band will be supported by special guests The Joy Formidable and Old Men.
Reared on a diet of pop culture and good music, Bloc Party met through the small ads of the music press to create a band who went on to make the headlines. After a short hiatus in 2013, Kele Okereke returned refreshed in 2015 with a new line-up: original guitarist Russell Lissack joined by new recruits Justin Harris (bass) and Louise Bartle (drums)
Ask them their influences, and they say they've been influenced by it all. Live, Bloc Party '...rip through new classics...like they've written them 20 minutes before the gig - the ferocity and adrenaline of youth shines through the angular rhythms and layers of effects.' (bbc.co.uk). They also play regular DJ slots up and down the country.
Bloc Party tour dates
North Wales indie-grunge three-piece, fronted by the enchanting Ritzy Bryan. Abandoning the traditional record industry route, they came to prominence upon releasing 2009 mini album 'A Balloon Called Moaning' as a free download.
Their Breeders and Yeah Yeah Yeahs brand of indie-rock has seen them gain continual support by BBC 6 music and feature on trailers for Channel 4's 'Skins'. Meanwhile 2010's breezy 'Popinjay' single was another impressive slab in their trademark sound of crashing guitars and tight hooks.
