Devonshire Square is delighted to announce the launch of the Harlequin Euro Festival, an exciting five week programme of free attendance music and dance shows, conceived and organised by the Devonshire Square Events Team to celebrate European culture, languages and folk traditions.
The Festival will run from 10th June to 14th July 2016, in parallel with the European Football Championship, to which the events’ programme is thematically linked. The festival’s title, “Harlequin Euro”, is inspired by the character from the 16th century Italian “Commedia dell’arte”, Arlecchino, whose multi-coloured costume recalls the rich diversity of European cultures. All performances will take place at lunchtime in the historical setting of Devonshire Square’s Western Courtyard where visitors will be able to enjoy a selection of specially themed dishes and menus available at Devonshire Square’s iconic restaurants.
