Making Music Summer Event

Our Summer event is a great chance for members to come together, enjoy some music and learn more about Making Music. The day will be split into three sessions:

Dorothy and Philp Green Award for Young Concert Artists (AYCA) presentation concert

We will start with the presentation concert. This annual concert is always enjoyable and a brilliant chance to see some of our best young musical talent perform live. The winners of the ACYA award and performers at the concert will be announced in April. Remember that all the winners are available to Making Music members to book at subsidised prices - so why not come along for a preview and think about who you might want to work with. The concert artists will also be attending the buffet lunch so you will have a chance to meet them too.

Making Music AGM

Our AGM will take place in the early afternoon. It will be the usual AGM fare with reports form the board and executive staff, board member elections and a chance for you to ask questions. Anyone associated to Making Music is welcome to attend but only MM Reps can vote.

MM Rep session

The day will finish with a session for MM Reps run by Area Manager for England and Northern Ireland, Sharon Moloney. Part of our ongoing Membership Engagement project is to look at the role of MM Rep and how it works within the Making Music organisation. We will be visiting MM Reps all over the country to discuss this and would really like to encourage as many MM Reps in London and the South East as possible to attend this event. Sharon will provide essential updates on the Membership Engagement project and the role of MM Rep.

If you are not an MM Rep you are still welcome to attend and report back to your MM rep and group. If you don’t think it’s for you, you can come and meet the Membership Services Team, who will be available to answer your questions and explain more about what we do for members.
