Improv Match: FBI vs. Mons Belgium

The London-based French Improvisation group “La FBI” will be taking on a team from Belgium in a heated improv match! Come cheer them on, shout out themes, heckle the umpire and rate each round to decide which team is champion! Two teams, one umpire, and you, the voting audience, declare the winner!

When Ice Hockey meets Theatre: Le match d'improvisation (The impro match) is a concept from Quebec invented in 1977.

Two teams face each other and partake in a witty battle of words under the ruthless supervision of the Referee. The latter is in total control: He chooses the duration, theme, and number of contestants involved in each verbal jousting. He decides whether the opposite teams will have cooperate (both teams meet and perform together) or face each other off (each team performs one after another) and he also has the power of changing the intrinsic rules of the world they'll be evolving in: A Western, A Shakespeare, Science Fiction, Total silence...

At the end of each improvisation, the Audience will be asked to vote for the team that showed more passion, courage, wittiness and ... coherence! The pressure will be overwhelming (or not!) as all the performers have to comply by the "Fair Play" rules and can be sanctioned anytime (Rudeness, Getting out of character, Ham acting...!) At the end of the evening, the team with the biggest score wins!
