Sat Oct 05 - The South London Soul Train once again puts on the audio gloves, hits the decks and gets seriously cut and paste ninja on yehs. Your SLST host JazzHeadChronic welcoming leading funk, soul and eclectic vinyl slinging turntablists - The Allergies (DJ Set) + Dusty Donut Head/Producer/DJ Jim Sharp dropping the soul/funk/disco breaks that made hip hop & (bringing the Live flex), the tweed suit wearing, brass wielding gents that are The Old Dirty Brasstards coming in hard (Live). ODB dropping a few sampladelic joints alongside their trademark selection of strictly good time, high octane, all fire party classics to keep the vibe absolutely righteous. Release yourself.

Level 1 - Old Dirty Brasstards (Live) - Band on stage around midnight

Since forming in 2012, Old Dirty Brasstards has gained an enviable reputation for its bold and innovative approach, on a mission to introduce brass music to brand new audiences.

The tweed-clad 10-piece brass and drum collective comprises of some of London's leading freelance musicians, playing an eclectic fusion of pop, rock, hip hop, R&B, funk and soul covers that never fail to get any dance floor jumping with joy!

ODB has brought its uniquely entertaining and energetic style to several major music festivals across the UK, including Bestival, Glastonbury, Latitude and Secret Garden Party, Koko & More + we truly can't wait to welcome them back to The South london Soul Train Live Stage.

The Allergies: The Allergies are the production/DJ outfit from heavyweight disc jocks Rackabeat (Chai Wallahs) and DJ Moneyshot (Solid Steel).

Drawing on such influences as Boca 45, DJ Format, Gramatik and RJD2, the pair aim to bring that vintage sound of sampled funk, beats and breaks back to the forefront of club music.

Jim Sharp (Dusty Donuts) - Jim (in brief) has released more than half a dozen 45’s over the past two years championing his trademark remix and production style !

He since took his passion for deejaying to a new level, rockin’ crowds with sets full of dope cuts and mixes and a big smile on his face.

Jim has worked alongside deejays such as Skratch Bastid, Mr Thing, Jazzie B, Kon, Rich Medina and acts such as Pharoah Monche, Black Sheep, Jeru the Damaja, George Clinton + Mobb Deep and damn can the man DJ.

Then on Level 2 - The Right Honourable Prime Minister of The Rare 45 and all round bad ass DJ Snowboy and audio partner in crime - the Legendary Perry Louis drop it like it’s hot all night long. Delivering the whole funk and nothing but the funk on 45. Righteously, Deliciously, Beliiiiieve!!!!!

Room 3 - S’all about The Northern Soul of it all. Your Northern Soul Room hosts The Legendary Rob Messer + Oscar Romp drop more seismic northern soul joints of epic proportions, hard and heavy on yehs. All on 45! This rooms for the dancers good people and believe us when we say "you're gonna feel it, long time!”

The South London Soul Train line up completed in The Rye Wax Basement. The Super Soul Bowl. Your host, Wah Wah 45s supremo Scrimshire + Bopperson take you on another global excursion through the planes of World Wide Wonder Funk, Soul, Groove, Disco, Hip Hop Boogie & Beyond. Absolutely Positively Taste.T.

The South London Soul Train (as always) All floors, will be taking, all passengers on a Non-Stop Magical Mystery Tour through all things Too Damn Funky. P-Funk to Jazz Funk, Soul Jazz to Rare Groove N’ Stax, Brass, Breaks, Bop and Hop to Motown, Club Classics and Anthems.

However - Passengers are requested to check their Souls at the Station as this one's for good time party people only! No Bass Wobbles Here, Only Love, Funk and Soul.

The South London Soul Train Runs 10pm - 5am / £5-13 Adv from RA or £15 OTD / Takes place every Saturday night at The CLF Art Cafe www.clfartcafe.org + beyond.
