Tickled Pig - TimeOut Critic's Choice: Phil Kay, Claudia O'Doherty, Sofie Hagen, Tez Ilyas, Holly Burn, Callum Scott, Javier Jarquin, Kevin Mahon, Robbie Ormrod
Tickled Pig offers the very best in stand-up comedy with a mixture of new and established acts. Expect laughing (lots of it), and as many Percy Pigs as you can physically eat without feeling queasy.
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
Scotland's madcap king of stand-up comedy has been performing since 1989. He has garnered a pile of awards, nominations and TV appearances but it is his stage shows that see him at his best.
His childlike take on the world is blended with sacks of energy, spoonfuls of improvisation and jumps of the imagination. The results are hilarious, crazy shows where even Phil doesn't know what's going to happen next!
"A must see experience" The Guardian.

Laughing Horse New Act Of The Year winner. Winner 2014 Chortle Awards Best Newcomer.
'Warm, accessible but in no way bland, Hagen delighted the crowd with personal tales and observations. Her skill becomes all the more apparent when looking at her silences as well as her writing, her timing is spot-on and pauses, facial expressions and knowing nods and smiles all combine to make an act who is destined to make a name for herself' (http://www.chortle.co.uk)
'Hagen is hilarious' (The Skinny)
'Hagen's act sharply pokes fun at British words and phrases and she's not afraid switch to bleaker, more contentious subject matter' (http://TimeOut.co.uk).
Sofie Hagen tour dates

Star of BBC Radio 4’s TEZ Talks, BBC Two’s 'Live from the BBC' and BBC Three’s ‘Man Like Mobeen’.
'Sartorially stylish and winningly cheeky' (Chortle)
“Blackburn-born Ilyas has a slickness more reminiscent of US comics, and the gags to back it up, though his most prized asset could yet be his bold, subversive streak” (The Guardian).
