Following last year’s Aladdin Me, presenting a brand-spanking new adult panto, Beans, penned by Matthew Floyd Jones (Frisky & Mannish, Close To You, described by The Times as a ‘stroke of genius’).

This unique 21st Century re-imagining of the Grimm Brothers’ classic tale is set above a Greggs bakery outlet in Kentish Town (topical). Here you’ll meet Michael Head who reprises his role as Panto Dame this year in the shape of Lesliey Longjohns who longs to be a pioneering dog hypnotherapist. But will gentrification and Giganticus spoil all the fun?

The other three cast members are all NewsRevue alumni and include Roann McCloskey as Jacquie Longjohns, a witty tomboy, teenage daughter of Les. Jessica Brady (former Britain’s Got Talent finalist) creates the role of Sylphbena the Faerie, think Glinda the Good meets Miriam Margolyes who also doubles up as Giganticus, a sweaty security guard. Last but not least we have Chazz Redhead (yes, that’s his real name...oh yes it is) playing smarmy, self-obsessed, slick landlord Ivan Gregg and doubling up as the hipster cafe designer, Hugo McBean.
