Journeys into Space and Psychogeography

This short theoretical course will explore the term psychogeography, its origins in theory and visionary writings, its beginnings in the avant-garde practices of the surrealists and its place in contemporary visual practice.

You will draw on the work of the current exhibiting artist, Hannah Collins, as well as the work or other writers, artists and film makers to explore the symbiotic relationship between man, nature and the urban environment and how that relationship is manifested in different cultures and spaces.

No previous experience is necessary.
