Josh and Steph live down the corridor from Dave and Gemma in rented studio apartments. Josh works in property, setting up deals for overseas buyers looking to bury their money in a city where prices continue to rise. Steph is a solicitor, drawing up paperwork for his clients. Josh and Steph are thinking big. This is just a stopping place for them.

Dave wants to escape the world of local newspapers by exposing the truth about the money the London property bubble is built on. Gemma is a supply teacher who moved to London to be with him. Dave and Gemma aren’t thinking big. They’re just trying to survive.

Boxes is a play about London’s booming property market and what it really means for people here and abroad.
