Lila works at the post office and, like anyone who is addicted to a good story, steals letters.

Her compulsion towards borrowing other people's habits, dreams and identities soon leads her down a spiral of personal chaos whilst permanently affecting others around her.

Are You Awake? is a new play that reflects on the innate tendency to live someone else’s life, speak someone else’s words and get lost watching and reading stories while sleeping through our own.
