"Now in our 30th year, the final 16 acts, selected from over 175 entrants, will perform on the Bill of the legendary new Comedy talent showcase.
Arthur Smith hosts the Show, which will present a diverse range of styles which take us across the comedy spectrum: musical, sketch, poetry, novelty and stand-up, Celebrating New Variety Comedy."

They've played everywhere from Croatia to Norwich, and feature regularly on Marcus Brigstocke's Early Edition and Robin Ince's Late Night Revolution. Funny Women finalist Lindsey Sharman has been performing on the stand up comedy circuit since 2009 at venues such as Komedia's Krater Klub, The Comedy Store, Banana Cabaret and Mirth Control.
As well as performing as Madame Magenta on the London cabaret and comedy circuits, Lindsay comperes Pull The Other One and performs as The Poet.

Former comedy reviewer Fern Brady first tried stand-up after the magazine she worked for suggested she write an article where she 'faked it' as a comedian. She enjoyed it so much that one year on, she embarked on it as a career.
She quit her day job working with male ex convicts after Stewart Lee plucked her from obscurity and put her on The Alternative Comedy Experience (Comedy Central). Since then she has performed stand up on a number of TV shows including 8 out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Seann Walsh’s Late Night Comedy Spectacular (BBC3), Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central (Comedy Central) and The One Show (BBC1).
Based in London, she has had two sold out critically acclaimed runs at the Fringe with her solo shows “People Are Idiots” (2015) and “Male Comedienne” (2016).

Anna Devitt is a professional Scottish comedian and actress performing all over the UK. She has a very direct, fun-loving style that wins over audiences and leaves them wanting more.
Anna appeared on Britain’s Got Talent and made it through to the last 200. She also won the Scottish Variety Awards for Best New Comedian and Fosters' Funny's Funny Best New Act.

Nicola (or Nicky, as she's known on the comedy circuit) Wilkinson is an actress and comedian.
A bright and quick-witted Hullonian, her comedy mixes charming, real-life anecdotes with just the right dose of self-deprecation and often brilliantly funny improvised riffs with the crowd.

Known as "the female Micky Flanagan" (Chortle), Sam is no stranger to comedy awards and competition finals. Funny's Funny winner 2012 and NATYS runner up 2013, now she sticks a wig on her head and calls herself Linda Larkin, a housewife who believes the world can be saved with love and gossip. She's had two shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, Princess Savage and Looking Out for Linda.

Paul F Taylor is a one of a kind comedian. An instantly watchable performer, whilst onstage he exhibits a lost playful vulnerability. This coupled with his hilarious and surreal observations never fails to leave audiences crying with laughter, gasping for air and wondering "What the F?... It's Paul F. Taylor!". Paul is a superb writer with a keen eye for the absurd in everyday life, he creates wickedly funny and astute observational comedy which is totally captivating and utterly hilarious. Certainly one for the future!
Paul was one half of the double act, Helm & Taylor with Nick Helm. He is also half of the double act Short & Curly (with Rebecca Shorrocks).
Paul has achieved notable success as a screen writer and actor. Milk! that he co-wrote and starred in, was the ShortCom Jury Select Winner 2015, and was in the official selection in LOCO, Nashville, LOL, Shortwaves, Glasgow and London Short Film festivals. It has also won the Dead Short Film Competition at Leeds International Film Festival 2015. Paul took home the title of the NATY New Act Of The Year in 2013. Battlecock! that he also co-wrote and starred in, made it into the official selection at the BFI London Film Festival 2013.

'Born in London but raised in Northern Nigeria to a medical doctor father and a politician/businesswoman mother, Nabil Abdulrashid was privately schooled in the UK. His set covers being a middle-class educated man yet simultaneously a street smart urban youth and being a black Muslim in South London. He was a finalist in the NATY New Act Of The Year competition in 2013' (Chortle)

Comedian, compere and playwright. This grumpy old man per excellence presents the BBC Radio 4 show 'Excess Baggage' and has written four plays including 'An Evening With Gary Lineker' and 'Live Bed Show'.
His stand-up topics range from vigorous yodelling to mediaeval literature via death by drink. His delivery is relaxed and sardonic, but his shows are a surprising, dark and witty treat.
He's also one of the many 'Grumpy Old Men' that appear on BBC 2's hit show.
