Internationally acclaimed violin star Isabelle Faust, winner of the 1993 Paganini Competition, makes her debut with the LSO in Brahms’s great Concerto, the centrepiece of the Romantic violin repertoire, and one which marries quasi-operatic drama and infectious Eastern European dance rhythms with the most exquisite lyricism.

Tchaikovsky’s searingly passionate music runs in the blood of Russian-born conductor Semyon Bychkov, who since settling in the USA in his early 20s has worked extensively with the world’s finest orchestras.
