For the third and last Late Style concert at Milton Court on Tuesday 2 May dedicated to Schubert, Jonathan will be joined by tenor Mark Padmore. The concert opens with the Sonata in A major, and closes with Schwanengesang, composed in the final year of Schubert’s life in 1828. Only one year after Beethoven’s death and aged just 31, Schubert - like Beethoven - created something unique, revolutionary and unrepeatable.
