From East London’s favourite disco basement, Lyall Hakaraia, Fashion designer, stylist and promoter of Vogue Fabrics, brings his special brand of queer performance ‘Icy Gays’ to the Barbican as part of The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier on Saturday 7th June.

Ground breaking international artist working in light Ben Kreukniet joins the stellar line-up with a new light installation, whilst film maker Sharna Osborne presents a selection of fashion films from East London-based designers, such as Chris Raeburn, Sibling, Christian Cowan-Sanluis, CLM/Chris Sweeney and Meadham Kirchhoff.

Icy Gays is a series of off-site events curated by fashion designer and owner of Vogue Fabrics Lyall Hakaraia. Originally conceived at London’s ICA, Icy Gays has travelled to Glastonbury, New Zealand and Australia and hosted performers such as Aerea Negrot, Hard Ton, Joey Arias, Jonny Woo, Bourgeois & Maurice and many more.
