Get Creative Family Arts Festival: LSO Family Workshop - Reveal Ravel

There's a lot more to French composer Ravel than his famous Bolero! This fun workshop will highlight luscious melodies and hidden ideasin Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, which depicts the fairytales of Sleeping Beauty, Tom Thumb and Beauty and the Beast, among others. Children and parents will be invited to join in and make their own music, based on the main themes, with the help of LSO musicians.

Everyone is then invited to the main hall to see the London Symphony Orchestra play the full piece in concert. This is a special chance for families to learn about a 20th century composer famous for his gift for melody and orchestral colour through hands-on, creative music-making.

Please note: The pre-concert workshop relates to the first half of the concert only. Families are welcome to stay for the second half (John Adams' Scheherazade.2) but should be aware that this contemporary piece contains adult themes.
