British Sea Power

Celebrating the 15th anniversary of Kinoteka Polish Film Festival, the Polish Cultural Institute in London and the Barbican Centre present a specially curated evening featuring much loved indie rock group British Sea Power playing a newly commissioned live score to the screenings of some of the best animations originated from Poland.

British Sea Power will take audiences on a personal journey through their most admired Polish animations, including Rybczy?ski’s Tango, Szczechura’s Journey, Schabenbeck’s Stairs, Duma?a’s Little Black Riding Hood, Oraczewska’s Banquet and Borowczyk’s School and some short classics by the pioneer and virtuoso of puppet films, the symbolic father of Polish animation school, W?adys?aw Starewicz.

The band’s other soundtrack work includes recordings of the scores to award-winning documentary films Man of Aran and Happiness.
