One of the most simpatico of musical partnerships in recent times, the Branford Marsalis Quartet share their freewheeling and joyous take on the jazz tradition with the sumptuous voice of one of today’s most gifted vocalists, Kurt Elling.
With songs that range from Gershwin and Sting to Antonio Carlos Jobim, and original songs from Marsalis and Elling themselves, as well as the Quartet’s dynamic pianist, Joey Calderazzo, their album Upward Spiral was one of the landmark jazz recordings of 2016 – and this will be their only UK performance.
