Formed in the early 1960s, Toots & The Maytals quickly established themselves as the leading purveyors of the reggae sound, and were pivotal in popularising the genre beyond Jamaica. Their take on the style, drawing on Funk, Rock, Soul, and even Country, revolutionised not only reggae, but influenced countless others - indeed, their instantly recognisable songs, such as 'Pressure Drop', 'Monkey Man' and '54-46 Was My Number', have been covered by artists like The Clash, The Specials and Amy Winehouse.

Described as 'one of the true architects of Reggae', Toots & The Maytals (initially just The Maytals) have been working together since the 1960s, and are a long established legend in the world of Reggae, even being credited with having coined the term on their 1968 single 'Do The Reggay'. The group was awarded a Grammy in 2005 for True Love, where their classic songs were re-recorded alongside artists such as Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, No Doubt and The Roots. They remain touring and recording with huge success.

The godfather of dub and the high priest of reggae. Bob Marley's producer and a truly original musical innovator. From 1970s Jamaica to the present day his music has been consistently excellent and his influence consistently enormous.

A soul-injected ska, rocksteady and dub sensation for the 21st century. Fronted by long-time musical cohorts Finny & Sean Flowerdew (The Loafers, Special Beat, Skooby & Skanga) Pama boast an all-star collective including The Specials' Lynval Golding, Madness' Lee Thompson alongside members from Galliano, Bentley Rhythm Ace, Steel Pulse, Style Council and Pop Will Eat Itself.

Formed in 2004, London based Trojan Sound System are an institution in British Sound System culture.
A talented team of selectors and vocalists, they relentlessly tour the globe, representing the most seminal reggae and ska record label in history.
For the past decade, Trojan Sound System have spread their message of love and unity through the power of ska, roots, dub, dancehall and UK bass music, headlining club shows, captivating festival crowds and supporting legendary Jamaican acts such as the Wailers, Luciano, Sly and Robby and the late great Gregory Isaacs to name but a few.
Trojan Soundsystem tour dates
The original rude boy, and one of the undisputed forerunners of the ska movement. Best known for being the lead singer of The Specials, Neville is credited with changing the face of pop music not only once but twice. His biography reads like a who's who of rock. Not only has he worked with such legends as Elvis Costello, David Byrne and Ali Campbell but has also shared the stage with ska icons Rankin Roger (English Beat), forming Special Beat. Although this line up never actually recorded an album, they successfully toured the US with Sting and Steel Pulse before embarking on their own headline tour.

The legendary Don Letts introduced reggae to punk, managed the Slits, played music with former Clash member Mick Jones in Big Audio Dynamite and has directed videos for everyone from Jimmy Cliff to S'Express.

Reggae Roast have steadily built up a reputation for hosting one of the most vibrant monthly Reggae events in London that is all about creating a respectful atmosphere where people can enjoy the best reggae music Recently Reggae Roast have been in high demand, playing at clubs across the UK including regular sets at Fabric, spreading their message of conscious roots music and positive vibes. Over the past 3 years Reggae Roast have hosted some of the biggest names in the business, including: Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Collie Buddz, Sly & Robbie, Finley Quaye, Mad Professor, David Rodigan, Suggs (Madness), Mungo’s Hifi, Channel One Sound System, Iration Steppas and Adrian Sherwood.
Reggae Roast DJ Collective tour dates
The mischievous rabble from London have been causing mischief since school, spreading their contagious horn driven ska anthems across the UK, mainland Europe and beyond.
Chainska Brassika are firm party favourites, getting crowds rocking from Glastonbury to Nottinghill Carnival, Rototom Sunplash to Outlook - and even touring the island of Jamaica. Well known for regularly opening for UK ska legends Madness, Chainska are at the forefront of the new UK ska movement, and their crazy live show have got the band regularly onto europe’s biggest stages.
Their debut album 'Skinna' was released in late 2015, being championed by reggae DJ David Rodigan and backed with recently being crowned winners of the World Reggae Contest in Poland, beating over 100 bands from 28 countries - despite being predominantly a ska band. This earned the band a trip to record their follow up album in Jamaica at Harry J Studio's - famous for where Bob Marley & The Wailers recorded the albums Natty Dread, Catch A Fire, Rastaman Vibration & Burnin'.
