At the next Word In Your Ear at The Islington on May 9th they'll have guests talking about two of the most fascinating characters in American popular music, Harry Nilsson and Randy Newman.

On that night Mark Ellen and David Hepworth will be talking to Alyn Shipton, the broadcaster and jazz historian who wrote the acclaimed biography Nilsson: The Life of a Singer-Songwriter.

They'll also be joined by David and Caroline Stafford, the husband and wife team who have just published Maybe I'm Doing It Wrong: the Life and Times of Randy Newman.
