GM Records And Nambucca Present: Glass Sines + Half Hour Hotel + The Dead White Doves + Brick Lizard + Alex Fox + Jain Wells + Beef + Missbee
This Brighton based band pride themselves on being a bit different, taking an electronic/synth base and blending it with acoustic and electric guitars lines, vocals and classic violin.
Their live show is always a crowd pleaser, watch them take you from the lighter, melodic side right through to the kicking - with infectious energy.
They have already been supported by Radio 1 and 6Music,
Glass Sines tour dates
Led Zeppelin influenced blues rock, played in a raw garage punk style, which works well.
It also sounds somewhat Black Keys in parts, but still their own pretty unique sound.
The Dead White Doves tour dates
A straight up Rock 'n' Roll quartet from London. Taking a leaf out of the books of Led Zeppelin and The Black Keys, they are rooted in blues music, but with some added 'heavy'.
Brick Lizard tour dates
Jain’s musical interests are varied. Her first love is jazz fusion with its blend of musical genres, complex rhythms and instrumental approach (Pat Metheny, Jeff Lorber).
She is also drawn to the ethereal feel of World Music rooted in various cultures (B-tribe, Thievery Corporation).
Her lyrics are highly influenced by her work as a transpersonal psychologist which is a blend of modern psychology with the wisdom of the Eastern philosophic traditions.
Jain Wells tour dates
If you haven’t heard of the 80’s child called Missbee, then you still haven’t heard good music. Her origins are a concoction of confusion, some would say she’s of African decent but with Indian-oriental features and a solid London background, one can't be sure. Quite young and spontaneous, yet mature. She carries herself with a classic elegance. Missbee is like a perfectly blended coffee, smells good and wakes you up in the morning with a smile. Her musical interests are very diverse but when it comes to her passion what sets her on fire is a music that has inspired many generations. Jazz. Even though Missbee loves the traditional essence of Jazz, her musical palette feels the need to paint Jazz into a new picture. She is indeed a new voice on the Jazz scene for this generation and one to keep your eyes (and ears) on.
