About the show

Under the auspices of bass player/guitarist Andre Gabriel, the 606 Gospel Group have been performing at the Club for over 20 years now, building an impressive reputation. The choir is drawn from a pool of some of the finest gospel singers on the scene and have been featured as part of the London Jazz Festival as well as on BBC Radio 4 and BBC World Service. Today their Special Guests will be the talented saxophonist, composer, music director & producer Femi Osinaike whose eclectic approach and style blends elements of Gospel, Smooth Jazz, Latin and African folk, all showcasing his versatility and innovative approach to music-making alongside the wonderful Award-winning Gospel singer Nikki Seriki. Ministering in song since 1989 she has performed across America, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Influenced by artists such as Nat King Cole, Miriam Makeba, Jim Reeves, Cliff Richard and The Everly Brothers, her distinctive low, soft, textured tone carries a message of hope, faith and encouragement. The music will be an exciting mix of Femi & Nikki’s originals and Classic Gospel and don’t forget this is our Family Friendly gig, so children of any age are more than welcome!
