About the show
Lyrical and sophisticated, Simon Woolf is widely considered to be one of the most fluent and creative double bass players in Europe. A distinguished career spanning close on 5 decades has embraced associations with such US stars as Benny Golson, Harry Allen, Ralph Moore, Ruby Braff, George van Eps and Howard Alden along with collaborations with many of the UK’s leading musicians, . Tonight he brings his multi-generational band “New Masters” to the Club featuring some of the finest upcoming musicians in the country, Donovan Haffner-sax, James Davison-trumpet & Joe Edwards-drums alongside himself and Mark Edwards-piano.
