Louise Balkwill

An impressive and talented young singer, in 2012 Louise won a scholarship to Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where she developed her skills under the tutelage of the likes of Liane Carroll, Ian Shaw, Anita Wardell, Tina May, Simon Purcell and Barry Harris. Her love for the American Songbook combined with an impressive technique and ability to “swing” have seen her already perform at many of the capitals foremost venues, including Pizza Express Dean Street, Ronnie Scott's, The Archduke, Charlie Wright's and Oliver's Jazz Bar.

Louise has also become known as an acclaimed authority on New Orleans music, and directs The Old Jelly Rollers, a New Orleans style second line band, founded in 2016.
