About the show
Saxophonist Binker Golding has a host of Awards to his name, including two Jazz FM awards, a Parliamentary Jazz Award and a MOBO Award for Best Jazz Act. Perhaps best known for the exciting duo “Binker & Moses” his fluent, creative playing has been heard in a wide variety of musical contexts and his albums have cemented his reputation as an important voice on the UK jazz scene. Tonight he makes a welcome return to the Club to “play some of my favourite jazz standards and traditional blues numbers” alongside Billy Adamson-guitar, Daniel Casimir-bass & Zoe Pascal-drums. “Golding… considerable depth…fiery, intricate, and engaging” AllAboutJazz
Featuring
Earl Okin
One of those rare performers - a true original! Genuinely versatile, his talents range from that of a fine singer/songwriter in styles ranging from chart-orientated tracks to the classiest of jazz standards, via authentic bossa nova, to that of pianist, guitarist, world class jazz singer, as well as his unique standing as 'vocal trumpeter, trombonist and clarinettist!'. On top of all this he is also a sophisticated and witty comedian who stars on the London alternative comedy circuit.
