About the show
Influenced by the likes of Nina Simone, Billie Holiday & Sarah Vaughan singer Dulcie May Moreno is emerging as a versatile jazz artist with range and poise. Over the last 10 years she has performed on a regular basis around the UK, with notable performances from London and Canterbury to Newcastle and Edinburgh. Tonight she will be appearing at the Club with her sextet featuring Steve Fishwick-trumpet, whose fluent, melodic playing has been heard with a who’s who of jazz greats, including Anita O' Day, Ron Carter, Peter Erskine & Cedar Walton. Along with Stephen Bridgland-guitar, Frances Knight-keys, Jerome Davies-bass and Matt Home-drums they will be playing new songs from their forthcoming EP, including Dulcie's new lyrics for Oliver Nelson's "Stolen Moments" and their own arrangement of "No Moon At All" alongside their jazz and Latin-inspired originals!
