American singer-songwriter Dean Friedman first entered into the international pop consciousness in the late Seventies with a mix of quirky and poignant tracks that stormed the charts - Lucky Stars, Ariel, Lydia and Woman of Mine. Recently his influence has been citied by bands such as Ben Folds Five and his tracks have been covered by The Barenaked Ladies and Blender. With 2006's album Squirrels in the Attic, featuring songs about human cloning and Monica Lewinsky, Dean is clearly still having fun. Hailed by critics and fans alike as a one of the finest songwriters of his generation, strap yourself in for a powerful and humorous night.
