For a decade he was the frontman and main songwriter in seminal Liverpool psych-pop legends The Zutons. Garnering both critical and perhaps surprising commercial success along the way, including penning one of the biggest songs of the millennium so far ('Valerie', a hit both for The Zutons and also for Mark Ronson with Amy Winehouse’s ubiquitous cover version).
His new project, Dave McCabe & The Ramifications, has a more electronic / dance feel.
Also known as Edgar Summertyme, Jones is a singer/songwriter and former member of The Stairs. He has played in other bands such as The Isrites, The Big Kids, Edgar Jones & The Joneses and Free Peace. Noel Gallagher once said Jones had made 'probably one of the best records I have ever heard'.
Silent Sleep is the current music project of Christopher McIntosh (who previously played in Liverpool bands 28 Costumes and Hallo...I Love You!) Silent Sleep play sparkly sad and darkly romantic songs with searingly honest lyrics about this and that.
The Sundowners are a five-piece band of siblings and friends from just across the Mersey, in The Wirral. They're cooking up a melting pot of musical influences including Fleetwood Mac, Crosby Stills and Nash, Rolling Stones and Muddy Waters. After taking their time, writing real songs, putting on great gigs and capturing an avid audience around the country, they did a knockout performance on The BBC Introducing Stage at none other than Glastonbury Festival.
"The Sundowners are an undoubtedly exciting prospect with a very defined sense of who they are" - NME.
