LoveHistory in conjunction with St George’s Hall are once again set to delve into the depths of a Dickensian world, bringing to life some of our most beloved characters in a spectacular promenade performance at St Georges Hall. The Ghosts of Christmas Past will focus on the darker and spookier elements of Charles Dickens’: A Christmas Carol, a classic festive favourite.

As the old skinflint Ebenezer Scrooge is about to retire to his bed, contemplating his fortune, he is disturbed by loud banging noises, the ghosts of his past are waiting. This performance will take us through Ebenezer’s haunted journey as we encounter the ghosts and take heed of their message.

The dark passages below St Georges Hall provide the perfect setting to recreate these ghostly tales and even more so, the dark underworld that Dickens so often exposed. A team of professional actors will bring these stories and characters to life as you journey through the dark eerie passages and cells below.

LoveHistory have been setting a trend for living theatre experiences for over five years and this Christmas special will provide a real Dickensian experience as we strip back the glitz and head straight for that authentic Dickensian underworld that we all love best. We will encounter the old miser himself Ebenezer Scrooge, the humble and poor Cratchit family, and most significantly the ghosts of past, present and future. They may appear at unlikely moments so keep a look out for what is lurking behind those dark corners!
