British viola player Lawrence Power takes the lead of Harold on this Italian adventure. Beethoven’s overture, Coriolan makes a suitably dramatic start to the concert, before we’re taken from the sunlit fiesta of Mendelssohn’s Fourth symphony to the headlong gallop of Rossini’s William Tell Overture.
