Lauryna Sableviciute began to give public recitals at a very early age and by the time she was 15 had already accumulated many prizes and honours in various competitions including prestigious national awards from the Czech Republic and Lithuania.

After completing her studies at the Music Academy of Lithuania she received an accompaniment scholarship from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and moved to Glasgow in 1998 where in 2002 she completed postgraduate studies in solo performance under Fali Pavri.

She has collaborated with many distinguished groups and individuals such as the Lithuanian Philharmonic Orchestra, Vilnius Quartet, Edinburgh Quartet, Bergersen Quartet and with composers such as Eduardo Miranda, Stephen Davismoon, Graciela Paraskevaidis and James MacMillan.

In addition to her love of baroque, classical and romantic music she is actively involved in promoting and introducing audiences to new works by composers from around the world including world and/or UK premieres. Together with Nicholas Ashton, Sableviciute is also a member of Re:Sono Piano Duet.

In addition to her work as a solo and chamber music performer she continues to be in much demand as an accompanist and piano teacher for various institutions including Salford University, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) and Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM).
