Come and experience Jeffrey Makinson in concert on the grand Father Willis organ in Lincoln Cathedral.
Jeffrey Makinson is Assistant Director of Music and SubOrganist of Lincoln Cathedral. He also teaches for the Royal College of Organists Academy and is Music Director of Beverley Chamber Choir. Alongside his work in Lincoln, he maintains a busy schedule as a recitalist, accompanist, conductor, teacher and adjudicator in the City of Lincoln and throughout the country.
Programme for the evening:
Olivier Messiaen’s 1935 masterpiece is considered to be one of the greatest organ compositions of all time.
Ticket price includes a drink on arrival with an introduction to the evening. You will have the opportunity to see what happens in the organ loft during each concert as it is projected onto a screen. Following the concert there will be an opportunity to enjoy a drink in the Cathedral and meet the organist.
