Now in its 159th season, the Hallé has a reputation for artistic excellence and remains determined to seek ways to enhance and refresh what it undertakes. Ryan Wigglesworth has established himself as one of the foremost composer-conductors of his generation. He has been Principal Guest Conductor of the Hallé Orchestra since September 2015 and is currently Composer in Residence at ENO. Hailed by BBC Radio 3 as “a real poet of the piano,” Andrew Tyson is emerging as a distinctive and important new musical voice. He performs regularly across the US, in Boston, Chicago, Miami and New York, and in Europe.
