Máire Ní Chathasaigh & Chris Newman

Two celebrated virtuoso musicians will make a welcome return to Lichfield Guildhall when harpist Marie Ni Chathasaigh and guitarist Chris Newman when they appear on Sunday 19th April.

The internationally renowned duo have toured around the world, playing in twenty two countries, and on five continents, and have played in venues ranging from tiny historical churches, to palaces in Kyoto and Istanbul, and at London's Barbican, Sydney's town hall and Cologne's Philharmonie.

Their music takes inspiration from a wide range of culture, ranging from delicate folk and ethnic music, traditional Irish folk, bluegrass, Appalachian music, jazz,classical and baroque, combining their own composition with interesting arrangements of well known songs and instrumental tracks.
