Chris Helme

Chris Helme, a leading singer-songwriter will be making his debut at Lichfield Guildhall when he performs there on Saturday 28th March.

Best-known as the former front-man with the Sea-Horses, who had a number of hit singles in the late 1990's, most notably 'Love is the Law' (No 2) 'Blinded by the Sun' (No 7) and 'Love me and Leave me' (no 15), Chris Helme has been gradually building a solid reputation as a singer-songwriter of the highest order.

His career in the Sea-Horses saw him working alongside The Stone Roses's former guitarist John Squire, and supporting The Rolling Stones, U2 and Oasis. His career as a songwriter has seen him working in a more low key manner, first with the band The Yards, and now as solo artist. His experimental nature in the studio finds him fusing rustic folk melodies with psychedelia to critical acclaim, and to best effect on his 2012 release, 'The Rookery'.
