Beethoven And Brahms

Festival 2020 should have seen a new production of Beethoven’s only opera, with Emma Bell and David Butt Philip taking the leading roles, and the OAE conducted by Robin Ticciati.

It was not to be, but this concert at the end of what has been a very difficult year brings together some of those who would have performed this summer for a moment of optimism, putting together orchestral music and arias from the opera with Brahms beautiful violin concerto played by the brilliant young star, Alina Ibragimova.
