Elliot Gresty is one of the most exciting young clarinettists in the UK whose playing has been described as ‘moving, rich and controlled.’ Elliot began his musical studies at Chetham’s School of music in Manchester before being awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music in 2014 where he is a pupil of Tim Lines and Richard Hosford. At the RCM he is JMC Scholar supported by a Douglas & Hilda Simmonds Awards and has won both the clarinet and bass clarinet prizes.
From 2012–2014 Elliot was the principal clarinettist of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, performing at venues such as Symphony Hall, Birmingham, The Sage Gateshead, and the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC proms. Elliot has also performed solo recitals at such prestigious venues as St James Piccadilly and chamber music at the Wigmore Hall. He also was selected to take part in the 2015 LSO Wind Academy and the 2016 London Sinfonietta Academy.
