The story of The Red Levels starts in 2011. Franky Watters, our lead singer and guitarist, was hit by a car. Both his legs were horribly broken, and this lead to over a year of recovery. During that time Franky had little else to do other than play guitar and write songs.

When Franky had finally recovered he received a not inconsiderable sum of compensation, and decided to use some of this to record the songs he had written whilst he was convalescing. He asked an old school friend, Niall Cullen, to play bass on the recordings and they settled on Soundworks studios in Leeds, recording in March of 2013.

After just a couple of days recording thanks to Producer Will Jackson and session drummer Mick Bedford they had The Red Levels EP. Franky and Niall then made the Decision to carry on with the band and less than a month later they had met Josh Doyle at an open mic night. Josh came to sit in on drums at the first Red Levels band practice and has been with the band ever since. The Red Levels have made a name for them selves in Leeds gigging anywhere and everywhere all over the city.

After a year together they decided it was time to record their first full length Studio album 'Minefield Mind'. Again going back to Soundworks, this time for a week, they ended up with a 15 track album of original songs they can all be proud of.
