Sunday Joint & DJ Lubi Present

Project Hilts burst into life 18 months ago with a packed out show at DJ Lubi's RE:SOUL session in Leeds and have never looked back since. The young 9 piece are the brainchild of London grime MC Hilts who relocated to Leeds to study music production at the music college and swapped laptop beats for a live band. With members all bringing their different musical tastes to the table – jazz, soul, hip-hop, funk, Latin, grime – the band’s sound morphed into a live jazz x grime experience. Over the last 18 months, they’ve played most venues around Leeds including headline shows at Soul Rebels/The Wardrobe and Hyde Park Book Club (sold out). They’ve also rocked shows in Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool as well as London venues Hootenany and Peckham Audio. In summer 2019, they released their debut single “Lonely Days” to good response. First live show of 2020 so expect a roadblock like all Project Hilts Leeds shows to date.

Leeds College Of Music continue to supply the weekly support band and this time it’s jazz-funk/neo-soul band Wise Willis. Already well established on the local jazz/soul scene, their sound brings together the new vibes of contemporary jazz and future-soul with elements of classic neo-soul and funk.

Doors 8:00pm. Live music 8:45pm (Wise Willis) and 9:45pm (Project Hilts). DJ Lubi before and between live sets and Sunday Joint DJs after the live music until late. Entry is as always Free.
