In a nest at the edge of a pond a flock of baby ducklings find an enormous egg in their midst, here our story begins, of the most unusual duckling the pond has ever seen - Ugly Duckling!

Woodland trees transform from dark weathered branches to silver sticks of frost. Ugly, tormented by the other ducklings and feeling different to them, goes on an adventure in search of a place to fit in.

Our lost rejected duckling hides in brushwood beside an ice-covered lake and stares skyward at the migrating swans, yearning to belong and marvelling at their beauty….
