The Alternative Christmas Grotto returns to the Town Hall Woods.

The Story Trees is specifically for our very young audience. Should you have children of different ages, we would suggest Whispering Woods as this performance is suitable for children of all ages.

Sneaky Experience is bringing creatures to life, with theatrical tales that will enchant the woods nestled in the undergrowth of the Town Hall Chambers. You are invited to uncover the secret hideaways of your favourite animals and meet the magical creatures that live in this enchanted world, playing a part in helping the stories unfold, and suggesting ideas to help the animals tell their story in this magical festive adventure.

Children are invited to join the animals on a Yuletide mission to meet with Father Christmas for a magical story-telling session running from the 16th to the 23rd December

This is the ultimate Christmas experience, with little ones taking part in a unique, magical journey to visit Father Christmas. These enchanting morning performances will feature puppetry, songs and story-telling for children up to 5 years old. Guests will join Ratty, Mole, Toad, Badger and Weasel as they wander through the story trees, where they’ll discover Santa and listen to his story.

With spaces limited at each show, The Story Trees sold out quickly last year, book early to avoid disappointment.
