This event has been and gone.

Maxïmo Park have announced a one off show in Leeds. The date, at Beckett University on January 10th, will serve as a farewell for keyboard player Lukas Wooller, who is taking his leave after 18 years.

Writing on Twitter, they said: 'We've got news! Slightly sad news first: our keyboardist, Lukas, is emigrating and leaving the band. BUT the good news: on Feb 22nd 2019, we'll be releasing an audio-visual document of us live in the studio called ‘As Long As We Keep Moving’ (on DVD, CD & vinyl!) AND we play a show on Jan 10th in Leeds with Lukas to say goodbye to our favourite Yorkshireman.'

Featuring

Maximo Park

Maximo Park appearing at this event

Indie-Rock band from Newcastle, fronted by the ever charming Paul Smith, whose tightly-wound songs are biting, contemporary takes on the familiar feelings of being trapped in a small town and desperately needing to escape. Their tunes vibrate with contained energy, and the anger more than occasionally spills out into faster, harder pop-rock. With three UK top 10 albums, two top 20 albums, along with eight UK top 40 singles, the boys continue to 'apply some pressure' to their sound and success.
