Opening Yorkshire Festival’s Songlines Series in glorious, unpredictable and uncategorisable style, Mbongwana Star’s echoing rhythm patterns, heavily distorted vocals and feedback mix with gorgeous vocal melodies and a distinctive Congolese lilt.
